Yash-Starrer Toxic's English Version REMOVED From Theaters In Just 1 Week Due To Poor Box Office Run: Report

Yash's latest film, Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups, has met with a disappointing response at the box office, leading to its removal from theaters just one week after its release. The film, directed by Geetu Mohandas, features a star-studded cast including Kiara Advani, Tara Sutaria, Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, and Rukmini Vasanth.

Initially, the movie opened to strong numbers on its first day, but collections have since been lackluster, despite the presence of a talented ensemble. Toxic was released simultaneously in Kannada and English, with dubbed versions in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam. The English version was released in India on September 4. However, it has now been taken off the screens after generating only Rs 3.16 lakh in its first week, as per reports from Bollywood Hungama.

The film's English version collected Rs. 1.38 lakh on its opening day from 11 shows across Mumbai, Bengaluru, Gurugram, and Noida. Collectors then dwindled to Rs. 78,774 on Saturday and Rs. 70,460 on Sunday, failing to show any significant growth over the weekend. The downward trend continued throughout the week, with the film earning just Rs.

15,034 on Monday, Rs. 3,125 on Tuesday, Rs. 5,699 on Wednesday, and Rs. 4,655 on Thursday. Due to the poor box office performance, the English version of Toxic was removed from theaters on Friday, September 11. As of now, no official statement has been released by the makers regarding the decision to remove the film from theaters.
