In the world of Tamil cinema, the rivalry between Vijay and Ajith Kumar remains a topic of great interest. Recently, the two stars met on the sidelines of the Michelin Le Mans Cup at Silverstone, a meeting that has captured the attention of fans on social media. Here are four memorable encounters between the two actors in the past.

One of their earliest meetings occurred in 2005 during the pooja ceremony for Ajith's action drama Thirupathi. The film, directed by Perarasu, began filming on September 15, 2005, with a song shoot at AVM Studios. Pictures from the ceremony showed Vijay and Ajith sharing laughter, alongside Ajith's actor-wife Shalini and the female lead of Thirupathi, Sadha.

Their interactions have continued at various award functions. One such memorable occasion was the Tamil Nadu State Film Awards distribution function in 2007. In photographs taken at the ceremony, Vijay and Ajith were seated next to their colleagues, Vikram and Suriya.

In 2008, both actors demonstrated their commitment to social causes by participating in the South Indian Artistes Association's fast in solidarity with Sri Lankan Tamils. On November 1, 2008, Vijay and Ajith attended the fast as it took place in Chennai, expressing their support for the Tamil community in Sri Lanka during the civil war.

Perhaps the most iconic meeting between Vijay and Ajith Kumar took place in January 2011. As social media began to gain popularity in India, the two stars made headlines when Vijay, filming for his film Velayudham, visited the sets of Ajith's Mankatha in Binny Mills, Perambur. Pictures from the visit showed Vijay gifting Ajith a watch, a gesture that sparked online discussions among fans.
