The Council of Rafal has unveiled its programme for the 2026 Patron Saint Festivities, a month-long celebration of Our Lady of the Rosary in September and October. The festivities kicked off on September 11th with the return of the opening proclamation, featuring speeches and entertainment from Mercedes Gómez Hernández and Francisco Jesús García Gómez. The opening night included a Correfocs fire run, the official inauguration of the events in Plaza de España, and musical performances by DJ El Cejas.

Throughout September, attendees can expect a motorcycle meet and breakfast, addiction prevention initiatives, the 12th Villa de Rafal Popular Race, live music, and a special radio program. Other activities include children's cycling competitions, the presentation of festival representatives, the crowning of queens and ladies, family theater, and tributes to senior residents. New highlights this year include a Show Dance musical production and the Babibidú Experience, a family-focused event.

In October, the festivities continue with the Moors and Christians parade, floral offerings, street processions, a multicolored parade, performances by the Técnica 2000 and La Hornet groups, a comedy show set in the 1980s, traditional brass band music, a paella day at Parque de los Olivos, and a parade by Rafal's Arte Musical band. The religious program will conclude with a Mass and procession to honor Our Lady of the Rosary, followed by a musical and fireworks display on the Town Hall terrace.

Rafal's Mayor, Noemí Cutillas, expressed gratitude to the Festival Committee, municipal departments, associations, and the Central Board of Moors and Christians groups for their efforts. She invited both residents and visitors from the Vega Baja region to join in the celebrations, which aim to foster community spirit, uphold tradition, and promote inclusivity.
