Ukraine: Several killed in series of Russian strikes

On Saturday, Russia launched a series of strikes against Ukraine, resulting in at least four deaths and numerous injuries. Ukraine's Zaporizhzhia region suffered the loss of two lives, while the industrial city of Kryvyi Rih reported two more fatalities at ArcelorMittal's steel plant. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy disclosed that a Russian missile attack on an apartment complex in Odesa left 37 individuals wounded, with rescue efforts underway to find two missing persons.

Additionally, ten Ukrainian regions were targeted by Russian forces overnight, with drones continuing to patrol the skies over many of them.

In response to the onslaught, Zelenskyy reported that Ukraine targeted chemical facilities in Russia's Perm and Samara regions. The country's military reported a fire at a rubber factory in Togliatti, a city in the Samara region, which specializes in producing synthetic rubber vital for military missiles. Togliatti Mayor Ilya Sukhih confirmed one casualty and damage to several multi-story residential buildings due to the attack.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy expressed openness to meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin at the upcoming Group of 20 (G20) summit in Miami during December. However, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated that Moscow has not decided whether Putin will attend the summit. Peskov reiterated Moscow's stance that if Zelenskyy desires a meeting, he should travel to Moscow instead of the other way around.
