Russian attacks kill 11, injure 96 across Ukraine as Odesa comes under mass overnight strike

Overnight, Russian forces launched a barrage of missile and drone attacks across Ukraine, killing at least 11 people and injuring 96. Odesa Oblast bore the brunt of the assault, with 35 individuals injured, including a five-month-old infant and a 17-year-old. The city of Odesa itself suffered damage to a multi-story residential building.

Russia deployed a total of 129 attack drones, including Shahed-type and jet-powered models, as well as eight Kalibr cruise missiles, six Kh-59/69 guided missiles, and Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles. Ukrainian forces managed to shoot down 110 targets, with debris falling at additional locations.

In Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, two people were killed and 22 others injured, while in Dnipro, one person was killed and 19 injured after Russian forces targeted an industrial complex. In Donetsk Oblast, four people lost their lives and five were injured, with two fatalities in Sloviansk and one each in Kramatorsk and Yasnohirka. Zaporizhzhia Oblast recorded two fatalities and 11 injuries, with Russia carrying out 1,001 strikes against 45 settlements.

Kyiv Oblast saw one death and three injuries, with Russian drones hitting five districts, causing damage to 15 sites, including seven homes and various commercial establishments. In Sumy Oblast, a 68-year-old man was killed and a 64-year-old man injured in drone strikes. Kharkiv Oblast witnessed the death of a 32-year-old man and injury to a 19-year-old, with guided aerial bombs and multiple drones used. Finally, in Kherson Oblast, 18 people were injured as Russian forces targeted residential and critical infrastructure.
