Status Orange rain warning in effect for three counties

A Status Orange rain warning is now in effect for Donegal, Galway, and Mayo counties overnight. The warning, which began at 1am, is expected to last until 7am. At 1am, the Status Yellow warning for the six counties was upgraded to a Status Orange warning, focusing solely on Donegal, Galway, and Mayo. Met Éireann has issued an additional warning for a separate rain event affecting Cork and Kerry later this morning. The Status Yellow alert for Cork and Kerry will begin at 9am and remain in place until 9pm tomorrow night.
