Sandeep Lamichhane dedicates Asia Cup qualification to flood victims: 'Nepal needs your support'

Sandeep Lamichhane, captain of the Nepalese cricket team, has dedicated Nepal's qualification for the Asia Cup to flood victims. Nepal's victory comes after they also won the ACC Premier Cup in Malaysia. The team will now face India and Pakistan in Bangladesh next year.

Lamichhane, who was named player of the tournament, appealed for help from the public, emphasizing that the team's victory and the trophy were dedicated to the flood victims in Nepal. The UAE team, which had been on a successful run of six consecutive wins, struggled to chase down the target set by Nepal. A century scored by Rahul Chopra, his second in three ODI innings, was not enough to secure a win for the UAE. Defeat was tough for the UAE, who had shown significant improvement in 50-over cricket over the past two months.
