Russia’s Resources For Continuing The War Against Ukraine Will Run Out In 2028 — HUR Chief

According to Oleh Ivashchenko, head of Ukraine's Main Intelligence Directorate, Russia's resources for continuing the war against Ukraine will deplete by 2028. In his first interview for foreign media, Ivashchenko stated that Russia has military and economic capabilities for the upcoming year, but they will run out by 2028. He further elaborated on the recruitment and loss ratio in the war, revealing that Russia recruits about 1,000 individuals daily, sometimes up to 1,200.

However, the casualties are mounting, with yesterday's losses reaching 1,410 and the day before at 1,551, with 835 people, approximately 60%, killed in combat. Western intelligence services corroborate these figures, estimating that Russia loses around 6,000 soldiers each month compared to its recruitment rate. If this trend continues for another 18 months, it would result in the loss of 765,800 Russian military personnel, including 459,480 killed and 306,320 wounded.

This loss could represent nearly 10% of Russia's male population aged 25-49. Ivashchenko also highlighted the low morale among the Russian military and population, with the majority disapproving of the war. In response, Ukraine is working to prevent the influx of foreign mercenaries, mainly from African countries, by informing security services and conducting non-kinetic operations to sway public opinion in these countries.
