Russian Court Disqualifies Liberal Yabloko Party List in Tomsk
A court in western Siberia’s Tomsk region disqualified the liberal Yabloko party’s candidate list ahead of upcoming regional elections, upholding a lawsuit filed by the LDPR. The ruling leaves the northwestern Novgorod region as the only Russian territory where Yabloko candidates remain eligible to run, as regional authorities have now blocked or denied list registration across seven regions.
