According to Edafe, eight of the suspects were arrested in connection with alleged cultism, seven were detained for car theft, and one suspect was apprehended for alleged extortion and firearm possession. Among the arrested individuals was Collins Dunkun, aged 30, who, along with six accomplices, allegedly stormed a construction site, apprehended the workers, seized their tools, and demanded ₦700,000 before permitting work to resume.
Upon the police’s arrival at the scene, the suspect was promptly taken into custody, while his accomplices managed to escape.
