Pimpinan Umno ambil maklum kecenderungan tumpu rundingan dengan PAS

The Supreme Leader of Umno, Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki, disclosed a growing inclination within the party to focus discussions with PAS, as opposed to Perikatan Nasional (PN). In Kuala Lumpur, Dusuki noted this trend was evident in the deliberations during this year's Umno General Assembly (PAU). During a press conference following the PAU, Dusuki emphasized the shift in perspectives among Umno representatives, hinting that the party would consider PAS's viewpoint before engaging with PN.

Umno's Kedah branch recently announced its intention to initiate dialogue with PAS instead of PN. Dusuki also pointed out the analogy of the Barisan Nasional-Pakatan Harapan cooperation as fragile, claiming that Umno remains committed to the unity government pact until the dissolution of Parliament. Until then, he maintained that each party is free to determine their own course, focusing on political stability rather than mere changes in leadership.
