At the opening ceremony of Blizzcon today, Overwatch's latest hero has been unveiled: Doctrine, a robo-vampire with a cybernetic arm and mechanical wings. The character was showcased in a trailer that reveals an intriguing connection to Doomfist, the game's main antagonist. Players can currently test Doctrine via a hero trial, which will remain active through the weekend.
Blizzard has not yet announced Doctrine's official release date, but the company is known for its swift pace when introducing new heroes – D.Va was added just last month on August 11.
In addition to Doctrine, Blizzard hinted at upcoming reworks for two controversial characters in the game: Sombra and Roadhog. Sombra will undergo a transformation into a support role, while Roadhog should become less frustrating to play against.
