In a 86-64 victory over host Germany, Williams contributed 22 points, five rebounds, four assists, and five steals, potentially setting up a showdown with the United States the following day.

The U.S. won the gold in Paris by a point, with Williams shooting just inside the 3-point line. Williams stated she had "no preference" about whom France faces on Sunday.
