Muda lebih berani, pemuda PKR tempelak Umno ugut keluar kerajaan

One PKR Youth leader has likened the challenge of getting Umno out of the government to a husband asking his wife to divorce him while still clinging onto the duvet at night. PKR Youth Chief Nabil Halimi said: "Like a couple who boldly say ‘leave me if you can’, but a belt isn’t enough; it won’t leave." He praised PKR Youth and former PKR President Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman for his courage, saying they have moved to the opposition bench whenever they are not satisfied with the government.

Syed Saddiq left the unity government in 2023 after openly expressing dissatisfaction with the trial of Deputy Prime Minister Zahid Hamidi. At the time, Syed Saddiq said his party, which holds one seat in the Dewan Rakyat, would form a third force in the opposition bloc. Earlier, during a PKR constituency meeting, Zahid Hamidi, who is also Umno president, challenged those criticizing Umno to formally remove the party from the government.

He reminded that the unity government now exists due to Umno's support after the 2015 general election. In today's Umno assembly speech, Zahid also ridiculed Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, who is also PH chairman, calling him a teacher and saying Umno can do better than the PKR president. He also criticized the uncertainty surrounding the government's foundations, particularly regarding the BUDI95 quota.
