Ministry Issues Alert For Private Hajj Scheme Applicants

The Ministry of Religious Affairs has issued a warning to Pakistani pilgrims who plan to participate in the private Hajj scheme for the upcoming Hajj 2027. The ministry advises against making any cash payments to individuals or Hajj operators. Instead, pilgrims are instructed to utilize the official Digital Hajj Management System or the Pak Hajj App for all their Hajj expenses under the private scheme. This directive aims to safeguard pilgrims from potential fraud and ensure stringent oversight of private Hajj operators.

The ministry emphasizes that pilgrims must avoid paying any individuals or entities outside the prescribed system and procedure, as such actions could lead to financial loss. Under the Hajj policy, those opting for the private scheme must select only officially licensed private Hajj operators for their preparations. The ministry explicitly states that no unauthorized person should be compensated in cash or through non-official means.

Additionally, the ministry highlights that approximately 67,000 Pakistani pilgrims were unable to perform Hajj in 2025 due to various reasons. For Hajj 2027, Pakistan's allocated quota stands at 179,210 pilgrims. Out of this number, 71,684 pilgrims will be accommodated under the private scheme, while the remaining will be part of the government scheme.
