Media City Qatar and Es'hailSat launch special satellite packages for licensed companies

Media City Qatar and Qatar Satellite Company, Es hailSat, have collaborated to launch an exclusive package of satellite services and infrastructure for licensed companies operating within Media City Qatar. This announcement was made during the IBC 2026 event in Amsterdam. The package provides companies with various services like direct-to-home (DTH) broadcast distribution, broadcast contribution, broadband, enterprise connectivity, and teleport facilities.

These offerings also include additional services such as antenna hosting, data center, co-location, playout, and media asset management.

The purpose of this collaboration is to support businesses spanning the media value chain, including broadcasters, OTT and digital media platforms, production and post-production companies, technology and telecommunications firms, creative and content businesses, startups, and scale-ups. Media City Qatar's CEO, Hamad Omar Al Mannai, expressed their commitment to providing licensed companies with necessary infrastructure and support to enhance their operations, capabilities, and access to regional opportunities.

Ali Al Kuwari, CEO and President of Es hailSat, highlighted the partnership's role in cultivating a thriving media ecosystem in Qatar and the wider region. By granting exclusive access to their world-class satellite infrastructure and services, they aim to help licensed companies optimize operational costs and seize new opportunities.

This agreement marks the first practical implementation of the recent Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between Media City Qatar and Es hailSat, ultimately supporting the broader goals of Media City Qatar in connecting companies with strategic partners, infrastructure, and capabilities.
