Content creator Sammy Kioko declares Mavoko MP bid

Nairobi, Kenya – Comedian and content creator Sammy Kioko has announced his intention to run for the Mavoko parliamentary seat in the 2027 General Election. Kioko, aiming to bring politics free from insults, hate, and deception, pledged to engage directly with residents and pursue a "Mbele Pazuri" vision for their future. "I have walked with you, and I am ready to take the next step. I, Sammy Kioko, officially declare my candidature for the member of parliament, Mavoko constituency," he declared.

Describing "Mbele Pazuri" as more than a campaign slogan, Kioko said it was a shared vision with residents. He vowed not to resort to personal attacks or "politics of weakness," focusing instead on helping residents move out of poverty. Kioko challenged his supporters to consider whether insulting opponents would actually improve their lives, asking them to vote for someone who would genuinely work for them.

The campaign would involve door-to-door visits across the constituency, including areas like Athi River, Mlolongo, Muthwani, and Kinanie. Kioko mentioned his willingness to eat with residents and discuss their concerns during these interactions. While acknowledging the challenges of politics, including online criticism, Kioko expressed preparedness for the contest, urging supporters to act as his agents and spread his message in areas where he couldn't personally be present.
