Angel Martinez homers and doubles as Guardians rally to beat Twins 5-2

Cleveland Guardians' Angel Martínez delivered a two-run homer and a decisive double in the ninth inning, leading his team to a 5-2 victory over the Minnesota Twins on Friday night. The Guardians now lead Toronto by two games in the race for the AL’s third wild-card spot. Martínez's 15th homer of the season gave the Guardians a 2-1 lead in the seventh inning, following his team's initial rally with two hits in the second inning — Kody Clemens' single and Royce Lewis' double — which produced the game's first run.

Twins starter Taj Bradley struck out six and gave up only one hit over six innings. Hunter Gaddis secured the win with a 1 1/3 scoreless inning, and Cade Smith added a save.
