Collaros emphasized that coming back stronger after a loss would drive his team. The Blue Bombers secured a tie in regulation with Dorian Singer's five-yard touchdown reception. Instead of going for a two-point conversion, they opted for a field goal, allowing Saskatchewan to score a touchdown. In extra time, Saskatchewan scored again, but failed on a two-point attempt.

Collaros, who completed 27 of 40 passes for 279 yards with two touchdowns, noted the return of reliable receiver Nic Demski, who had missed the previous game due to an ankle injury.
