Why Tecumseh pitcher Audrey Seiler chose LSU softball as her future home

Audrey Seiler, a standout pitcher at Tecumseh High School, has chosen to commit to LSU for her college softball career. Seiler visited only one college before making her decision, opting for LSU despite interest from several other top programs. She cited the desire for the highest level of competition and the SEC's recent success, including LSU's six Women's College World Series appearances and 20 consecutive NCAA Tournament spots.

Seiler's recruitment process was expedited due to the strict NCAA rules that only allow direct contact between recruits and coaches after September 1 of a player's junior year. She spoke with numerous programs during the first week of September, impressed by LSU's campus culture, passionate fans, and supportive coaching staff. Seiler also noted the strong camaraderie among the Lady Tigers, calling the team "like sisters."

Tecumseh's Gordon Wood, the coach, was unsurprised by Seiler's decision, praising her maturity and experience in the recruiting process. Seiler aims to refine her mechanics and achieve a national title with the Lady Tigers, while also hoping to win more state championships for her high school team.
