Anila Baby, a resident of Milpitas, California, has been accused of murdering her two best friends, Mathew and Hari, in separate incidents.

According to the San Jose Police Department, Baby was arrested on August 28, 2026, after the victim was allegedly strangled and stabbed inside her home. Her husband discovered her unconscious and unresponsive, and she later succumbed to her injuries.

Baby was found covered in blood and had facial injuries when she was arrested for allegedly fleeing the scene. Video recordings from Mathew's home were deleted during the time of the attack, but her sandals were found outside, leading authorities to suspect her involvement.

Hari was later found dead in her parking lot, allegedly run over by Baby's vehicle. Both victims were mothers who had been residents of their community, leaving their families devastated by the sudden and brutal loss.
