Sri Venkateswara University launches e-studio
Sri Venkateswara University in Tirupati has constructed a cutting-edge e-studio to record official lectures and digital educational content from professors, industry experts, and invited guests. Funded by the Rashtriya Uchchatar Siksha Abhiyan (RUSA), the lab will primarily be used for capturing NPTEL courses, online diploma programs, and web-based lectures, as well as producing podcasts.
Vice-Chancellor Prof. Tata Narasinga Rao officially opened the facility alongside Registrar Prof. M. Bhupathi Naidu and RUSA coordinators. The facility features a virtual production studio, AR-VR studio, podcast studio with high-bandwidth video conferencing, lecture capture systems, and acoustic treatment to enable live streaming and recording of engineering lectures.
Prof. Narasinga Rao also toured the Center of Excellence in Bioenergy Innovations to witness a demonstration of the BET Surface Area Analyser, which assesses the surface area, pore volume, and pore-size distribution of materials, with applications in bioenergy, nanotechnology, and material science. SVU has been granted ISO 21001:2018 certification for educational services, ISO 50001:2018 for energy management, ISO 14001:2015 for environmental management, and a gender sensitization audit certificate, among other accreditations.
The university's virology labs have also received ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accreditation for microbiological and biological testing of soil, water, food, and environmental samples.
