Spartan Logistics expands warehouse footprint through acquisition

Spartan Logistics has acquired Allen Logistics, expanding its warehouse footprint by 100,000 square feet. The deal brings Spartan's total to 11 locations in Ohio and 7 in Northwest Ohio. The company now operates 4.5 million square feet of space across 9 states, with a strong presence in South Carolina ports. Spartan CEO Steve Harmon expressed excitement about adding a skilled group of employees and customers to its operations in Columbus, Ohio.

The acquisition strengthens Spartan's regional service density, integrates warehousing with its truck fleet, and enhances its ability to provide streamlined freight transportation, delivery, and fulfillment services.
