Seaman’s Schnapps reaffirms cultural heritage commitment

Seaman’s Schnapps has reaffirmed its commitment to preserving Nigeria's cultural heritage by sponsoring the 2026 Ekimogun Festival in the Ondo Kingdom. The traditional Ogun Festival celebrated deities associated with iron, war and creativity, and drew crowds including traditional rulers, dignitaries and tourists. Seaman’s Schnapps served as the lead sponsor and official prayer drink, attending the festival's traditional prayers, drumming, carnivals, cultural displays and competitions.

On the festival's final night, Seaman’s Schnapps presented an honorarium and a portrait to Oba Victor Kiladejo, the Osemawe of Ondo Kingdom. The brand also organized a traditional board game competition and a prayer hut for festival-goers, while featuring its new 20cl product in a media wall alongside the traditional 3cl offering.

Festival organizer Nnenna Uche-Onyenacho said the celebration reflected Seaman’s Schnapps' values as Nigeria's original prayer drink. The Osemawe urged governments to preserve indigenous heritage and support local festivals to boost tourism.
