Rep blasts Cubana Chief Priest, calls for EFCC probe over comment on Ebonyi gov [VIDEO]

U.S. Representative Chinedu Ogah has called for an Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) investigation into socialite and businessman, Pascal Okechukwu, widely known as Cubana Chief Priest, following his recent comments about the Ebonyi State Governor, Francis Nwifuru. Ogah, who represents the Ikwo/Ezza South Federal Constituency of Ebonyi State, questioned the background and profession of Cubana Chief Priest, asking why he would have the "audacity" to speak against the governor.

The congressman specifically accused Cubana Chief Priest of alleged money laundering and urged the EFCC to probe his financial activities. Ogah further alleged that Cubana Chief Priest was involved in attempts to discredit President Bola Tinubu's developmental efforts in the South-East. The controversy arose after Cubana Chief Priest called for Governor Nwifuru's resignation, questioning how the governor could serve nearly three years without implementing significant projects backed by the President or other state governors.

Cubana Chief Priest also claimed that Ebonyi State was the only South-Eastern state without substantial development, accusing its leaders of being "not wise enough" and stuck in the past.
