Porsche driver escapes unhurt after sports car consumed by flames at Lanchang toll plaza

TEMERLOH: A Porsche sports car, likely a Cayman, was entirely consumed by flames at the Lanchang toll plaza exit ramp on today's afternoon. The individual behind the wheel emerged unharmed. Pahang Fire and Rescue Department's assistant director of operations, Mohd Salahuddin Isa, reported that emergency services were summoned to the scene at 1.04pm.

He disclosed that a squad of eight firefighters from the Mentakab Fire and Rescue Station, accompanied by a Fire Rescue Tender vehicle and an Emergency Medical Rescue Services unit, responded to the location. The emergency response crew reached the scene at 1.42pm, having traversed around 35 kilometres. Upon their arrival, it became evident that the blaze had engulfed the entire Porsche car, rendering it 100 per cent destroyed, according to a statement released by Isa today.

He elaborated that the firefighting efforts were executed using a hose reel line, drawing water from the fire engine's tank. The flames were successfully subdued by 2.08pm before being entirely extinguished. No injuries or casualties were reported in connection with the fire, and the vehicle's driver was confirmed to be unharmed.
