NTI releases 608 certificates to 2020 graduates

The National Teachers’ Institute (NTI) in Kaduna has awarded 608 Bachelor Degree Programme (BDP) certificates to its 2020 graduates affiliated with the University of Maiduguri. NTI Director and Chief Executive, Prof. Sadiya Sani Daura, announced this in a statement on Friday, indicating that additional certificates will be released shortly. "We are pleased to inform you that the University of Maiduguri has released 608 certificates to the Institute, and we are expecting more very soon," she said.

Daura acknowledged the frustration and concerns arising from the delay in issuing certificates to the affected graduates. She mentioned that the institute’s management has been collaborating with the University of Maiduguri and other affiliating universities to expedite the processing and release of all outstanding certificates. The latest release comes on top of the earlier issuance of 16,107 Bachelor Degree and Post-Graduate Diploma in Education certificates by the institute’s affiliating universities.

Expressing gratitude to the graduates, Daura praised the University of Maiduguri for its cooperation in addressing the issue. She emphasized the institute’s dedication to maintaining a smooth certification process and safeguarding graduates from the negative impacts of delays in certificate issuance. Daura instructed the affected 2020 graduates to approach NTI state offices nationwide with their valid identification documents to collect their certificates.

She added that further information regarding the collection schedule will be disseminated through the respective NTI offices and the institute’s official communication channels.
