North Korea launches unidentified projectile toward East Sea

On September 12, South Korea's defense ministry announced that North Korea had launched an unidentified projectile towards the East Sea, according to Yonhap news agency. South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff is currently examining the projectile's characteristics and range. In a previous incident, North Korea had launched over ten short-range ballistic missiles and directed its military to remain on high alert during joint training exercises with the United States.

This launch occurred simultaneously with South Korea, Japan, and the US concluding their joint military drills on Friday, aimed at testing their readiness against potential threats from North Korea's missile and nuclear weapons.
