Mohammad Rizwan and Imam-ul-Haq Seek More Time to Answer NCCIA Questions

Wicketkeeper Mohammad Rizwan and batter Imam-ul-Haq have requested additional time to respond to inquiries from the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) regarding alleged leaks in the dressing room during Pakistan's Test series against England. The two cricketers were questioned for two hours on Thursday at the NCCIA office in Lahore, with the investigation focusing on their communications and interactions during England's recent tour of Pakistan.

Rizwan, who was part of the Pakistan squad released on an emergency basis after the Lord's defeat, traveled from London to Islamabad following his team's setback. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has not commented on Rizwan's appearance but stated that unverified reports about cricketers and officials are circulating in the media.

The investigation reportedly involves data from the players' mobile phones, which the PCB took custody of before passing them to the NCCIA. A third player has also received a notice from the agency. Pakistan's poor performance in the first two Tests prompted the PCB to release seven players and dismiss two coaches. Head coach Sarfaraz Ahmed and bowling coach Umar Gul were among those dismissed.

The PCB also sought an explanation from a member of its selection committee regarding the inclusion of Rizwan and Imam in the squads for the upcoming Test series in the West Indies and England.
