Man with Falklands ties obtains Argentine ID and seeks it for his partner's daughter

Jamie Falkland Anderson, a resident of Wales and a man with ties to the Falklands, acquired an Argentine national identity document in July and is currently seeking one for his partner's daughter, born in the Falkland Islands. Anderson, who now resides in Wales, obtained the Argentine document at the Argentine consulate in London on July 3, claiming to be born in Argentina and having lived and worked there for years, including in oil exploration.

However, the exact location of his birth remains unclear. Anderson moved to Britain in 2000, returned to the Falklands, and has been in a relationship with a Falkland Islander since 2014. He decided to seek Argentine documentation due to disagreements with local government and societal aspects. The Argentine consulate in London is handling his daughter's documentation as she was born and lives in Argentine territory under Argentine legal criteria.

This issue, related to the disputed sovereignty of the Falkland Islands between the United Kingdom and Argentina, has recently escalated with Argentina filing a criminal complaint against five companies related to the Sea Lion oil project and increasing administrative proceedings against 60 individuals and companies.
