‘Leadership Development Programme: Journey to Next Level’ held

Lahore witnessed the successful conclusion of a two-day "Leadership Development Program: Journey to the Next Level" at the Executive Development Institute (EDI) of the National School of Public Policy (NSPP) from September 9 to 10, 2026. The program targeted senior officials and decision-makers from both the public and private sectors.

Dr. Naveed Elahi, Dean of EDI, emphasized the program's emphasis on enhancing leadership skills and excellence in public service. This was achieved through team dynamics, leadership styles, emotional intelligence, motivation, diversity, and innovation, all facilitated through interactive learning and experience-sharing. EDI's performance and strategic objectives were also discussed, highlighting the careful selection of experts to provide comprehensive insights into emerging issues.

On the first day, distinguished guest speakers included Dr. Naveed Elahi, Shoaib Mir, Prof. Dr. Sa'ad B Malik, and Dr. Ishrat Hussain, who addressed topics such as "Know Thyself; Through Integrated Discipline of Leadership & Management", "Leadership & Innovation in the Public Sector", "Emotional Intelligence in Effectively Dealing with a Crisis or Turbulent Context", and "Effective Leadership and Strategic Management", respectively.

The second day featured a workshop on "Essence of Leadership" led by Dr. Jawad Syed, followed by insights on "AI and Emerging Technologies for Leaders" by Dr. Muhammad Amjad Saqib. Dr. Elahi expressed gratitude to the 51 participants from various sectors, including civil officers, private sector executives, and academia, and encouraged them to foster inclusive teams and lead with integrity for national development. Certificates were awarded to all participants for their engagement and dedication to learning.
