Investition: VAE investieren laut Söder zehn Milliarden Euro in Bayern

Berlin - According to Bavarian Minister-President Markus Söder, the United Arab Emirates (VAE) plan to invest ten billion euros in the state of Bavaria. Söder announced this during a visit to Munich by Sheikh Mohammed bin Sajed al-Nahjan, the President of the VAE. The investments will focus on key future industries including aviation, space travel, artificial intelligence (AI), defense, as well as bio and life sciences and automotive sectors, Söder said.

These funds are expected to flow into Bavaria over the next ten years, signaling a strong endorsement for future industries, startups and major companies. Söder emphasized that this will bring in cash, create contracts and stimulate economic growth. The following day, the VAE President signed a ten billion euro investment agreement with the Federal Government for the whole of Germany, with a quarter of these investments directed towards Bavaria.

Söder noted that it is particularly important to seek new partners in light of the recent turbulence in international markets. The Minister-President hopes to visit the VAE and the Gulf region again this year.
