Insta360 Luna Pro Officially Launches Globally

Insta360 has officially launched the Luna Pro globally, making the second iteration of its first gimbal camera available in markets like Malaysia. This single-lens variant, introduced in China earlier, caters to creators who desire high-quality video output without the intricacies of traditional camera setups. Boasting a Leica Summicron lens and a 1-inch 8K sensor, the Pro supports up to 8K video recording alongside various features tailored for both amateur and professional video workflows.

Weighing 233g for the Cosmic Black version and 235g for the Stellar White, the Luna Pro measures 52.4 x 169.9 x 38.5mm. It features a detachable 2-inch OLED touchscreen, which serves as both a remote control and monitor, offering slide-to-start recording and twist-to-shoot functionalities for efficiency. The camera captures video at a maximum of 8K30fps, including 8K Dolby Vision for enhanced colour, contrast, and dynamic range.

It also supports 4K120fps slow-motion and 1080p up to 240fps, alongside 10-bit I-Log footage for post-production flexibility.

Gimbal stabilization is a core feature, employing three-axis mechanical stabilization and AI-powered Deep Track to maintain subjects in frame while Rapid Focus ensures sharpness during movement. The Pro also includes a detachable touchscreen that can monitor and control the camera remotely up to 20 meters away. Audio is captured via built-in microphones with wind reduction and voice enhancement features, and it connects seamlessly with Insta360’s Mic Series devices.

Head Tracking allows users to control the camera through head movements, ideal for first-person content. The app includes AI-driven editing tools for auto-highlight selection and conversion into share-ready videos. Additionally, the Luna Pro supports Leica colour profiles and cinematic filters, along with built-in timecode for synchronizing footage across multiple cameras, ensuring compatibility with popular editing software.
