IKEA's latest boxy Bluetooth speaker comes with Spotify Tap, stereo pairing, and a temptingly low price

The IKEA Badkruka is the brand's latest budget Bluetooth speaker, featuring Spotify Tap integration, stereo pairing capabilities, and physical controls at a surprisingly low price. Based on IKEA's German website (Notebookcheck), the speaker measures 16cm x 16cm x 17.5cm and comes in black or pink, made from ABS plastic and polycarbonate. Unlike most portable speakers, the Badkruka includes a power cord but lacks a built-in battery.

The speaker offers physical playback and volume controls on its top surface, along with a Spotify Tap button for seamless connection to your Spotify account. It can be paired with another Badkruka speaker for stereo sound, and additional speakers may be synced together as well. The device features three EQ settings to adjust the audio output according to personal preferences and the music genre.

Priced at €50 on IKEA's German site, the Badkruka is approximately $58, £43, or AU$81 globally. While technical specifications on audio performance were not provided, the manufacturer promises powerful and balanced sound suitable for gaming, streaming, and music listening.
