IIT JAM 2027 Registration Begins Today At jam.iitkgp.ac.in; Apply By October 12, Check Exam Date & Fee

The Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur has announced the commencement of registration for the IIT JAM 2027 examination. The online registration process is now open on the official website jam.iitkgp.ac.in. Candidates must apply before October 12, 2026, to be eligible for the exam scheduled for February 14, 2027.

To take the Joint Admission Test for Masters (JAM), applicants must have completed or be in the final year of their undergraduate degree. The application fee varies based on the candidate's category (Female, SC/ST, PwD), gender, and whether they are choosing one or two test papers. The fee ranges from Rs 1,000 to Rs 2,700 per paper and is non-refundable. Payment can be made via net banking, debit card, credit card, UPI or a wallet, with any additional payment gateway charges also borne by the candidate.

Required documents for the application include a recent color passport-size photograph, signature, class 10/SSC marksheet or certificate, date of birth proof, category certificate if applicable, PwD certificate if applicable, UDID card/number for PwD candidates, and specific forms for candidates requiring compensatory time or a scribe. The JOAPS application portal for IIT JAM 2027 will open for registrations on September 5, allowing candidates to submit their applications online and complete the registration process.
