FMGE October 2026 Registration Begins Today At natboard.edu.in; Apply By September 25, Exam On October 31

The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has initiated the online registration for the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) set to take place on October 31, 2026. Registration commenced today, September 11, and will remain open until September 25, 2026, at 11:55 PM. The examination will be held at unspecified test cities on the aforementioned date.

The FMGE serves as a screening test for Indian citizens and Overseas Citizens of India (OCIs) holding primary medical qualifications from institutions outside India, aiming for provisional or permanent registration with the National Medical Commission (NMC) or a State Medical Council. NBEMS plans to conduct the FMGE examination three times annually, with the previous session occurring on June 28, 2026.

Eligibility for the examination requires candidates to be Indian citizens or OCIs, possess a recognized primary medical qualification, and have their final examination result declared by August 31, 2026. A total examination fee of Rs 4,650, including 18% GST, must be paid online during registration. Candidates must submit necessary documents, including a Primary Medical Qualification Certificate, attested by the Indian Embassy or Apostille, and their Aadhaar details.

The FMGE application process and submission of required documents must be completed by September 25, 2026, to avoid cancellation of candidature due to deficient document submission or rectification. Results will be declared by November 30, 2026.
