High school stabbing in Croatia leaves 2 wounded and attacker detained

Zagreb, Croatia (AP) — On Friday, a student at a high school in the capital city stabbed two individuals and wounded a third, according to authorities. The incident occurred during the first annual payment period of $205.00 plus GST for a one-year subscription, which automatically renews at $233.00 plus GST every 52 weeks, offering a 10% discount off the regular annual price of $259.35.

The attacker was subsequently apprehended. Croatia’s Ministry of Education disclosed that the assailant utilized a sharp object during the attack. One victim sustained multiple stab wounds and underwent surgery, but was reported to be out of danger, while the school janitor received injuries to their face. Videos from the scene revealed the school building cordoned off as police conducted an investigation.

The Index news portal suggested the attack was a result of a dispute between the students on Thursday. In December 2024, a knife-wielding former student entered a Zagreb school, stabbing a 7-year-old girl to death and injuring three other children and their teacher, resulting in a 50-year prison sentence and prompting schools in the city to hire security guards to prevent unauthorized access.
