Ehsan opens Al Wakrah Club after expansion as new day club season begins

Doha, Qatar - The Center for Empowerment and Care of the Elderly (Ehsan) has expanded its Ehsan Al Wakrah Day Club in the Old Al Wakrah Souq to coincide with the start of the new day club season for older women. This development is part of Ehsan's ongoing commitment to improving services and programmes for older people, creating a more diverse, comfortable and supportive social environment that meets their needs.

The expansion was driven by the growing demand for Ehsan's day club programmes. It allows the centre to accommodate more members and offer a broader range of social, cultural, recreational, awareness and sports activities tailored to older women's interests. The new club features additional spaces designed to foster social interaction, communication, and active participation in a safe, comfortable environment.

Ehsan's Executive Director, Manal bint Ahmed Al Mannai, emphasized that the Al Wakrah Club expansion reflects the centre's vision for day clubs as vibrant social spaces that enhance quality of life and support community participation. She stated that Ehsan aims to involve members in shaping activities to create a sense of belonging and appreciation among older women.

Al Mannai highlighted that the expansion addresses the strong demand for Ehsan's programmes and provides older women with more space and options as the new season begins. The centre plans to further develop its clubs and programmes, strengthening community partnerships to deliver high-quality experiences for older people.
