Eddie Hearn responds to Dana White tirade amid Cardiff talks for Anthony Joshua v Tyson Fury

Eddie Hearn, the promoter behind Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury, has dismissed claims that UFC and Zuffa Boxing CEO Dana White is involved in the negotiations for the highly anticipated bout. Hearn insists White is "out of the picture" and firmly states that Joshua signed a contract to defend his WBC heavyweight title in the United Kingdom. The fight's location remains a contentious issue, with Netflix pushing for the event to take place in the United States to appeal to the American market.

However, Hearn and Joshua have remained steadfast in their insistence on a UK venue, seeking an amendment to the existing contract to compensate for the potential changes. White, who has been vocal in his disagreements with Hearn, recently accused Hearn of "doing more damage to a fight" than anyone else. He warned that the negotiations could collapse, leading to the fighters walking away from the deal.

Despite White's threats, Hearn remains confident that the fight will go ahead, stating that they are working to find a suitable date in the UK with Netflix and SELA. A move to Cardiff, home to the Principality Stadium, has been suggested as a potential alternative to the original location. However, the Welsh rugby team's test match with Australia on the same night could pose a logistical challenge.
