The second-placed runner will receive GHC10,000, along with certificates and medals. The third-place finisher will be awarded GHC5,000 and gifts from sponsors. In the wheelchair version of the 21-kilometer race, the winner will take home GHC5,000, with the second and third place finishers receiving GHC2,500 and GHC2,000 respectively.
In addition to the prize money, all participants will receive medals for their efforts. The Tampico Accra Inter-City Marathon is scheduled to take place on Saturday, October 10, at the Trust Sports Emporium, also known as the Bukom Boxing Arena. Runners have the option to participate in either the 21-kilometer or 5-kilometer race.
