Colleagues left me to die, but God saved me — Halima Abubakar

Nollywood actress Halima Abubakar has opened up about a challenging period in her life when, according to her, colleagues failed to check on her while she was sick. She expressed feeling abandoned by those she expected to support her, but ultimately credited her survival to God's intervention. Abubakar explained to Saturday Beats that she didn't accuse her colleagues of abandoning her, as people often assume others' intentions based on limited information.

She emphasized that if someone had reached out to her about the situation, she would have responded accordingly. Instead of leaving her to suffer, some people extended support, particularly from musicians like Patoranking, Don Jazzy, Ahmed Musa, Mercy Eke, Big Brother, Destiny Etiko, Lizzy Gold, Monica Friday, Queeneth Agbor, and Regina Daniels.

Abubakar acknowledged the love she has for her colleagues despite the difficult circumstances they contributed to. Despite initial anger, she remains grateful for every experience and sees herself as a changed person with a renewed perspective on life.
