CBSE Board Exams 2027: Classes 9, 11 Registration, Classes 10 & 12 LOC Submission To Begin Soon; Check Board's Advisory

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has instructed affiliated schools to prepare for the registration of students in Classes 9 and 11 and the submission of the List of Candidates (LOC) for Classes 10 and 12 for the 2027 board exams. In a notice issued on September 10, 2026, the Board stated that the registration and LOC submission processes will commence soon, urging schools to maintain readiness with all necessary student and subject-related information.

CBSE emphasized the importance of verifying students' personal information and the subjects they have chosen, citing previous examination cycles where errors led to correction requests, delays, and operational difficulties. The Board requested schools to ensure that the following details are accurate and up-to-date before submission:

1. Full name, date of birth, gender, and category (where applicable)

2. Full names of parents or guardians (with correct spellings)

3. Subjects chosen by the student based on the prescribed scheme of studies

4. Photograph and signature of each candidate in the specified format

The Board warned schools against submitting incorrect subject codes or personal details, which have been recurring issues in the past. Schools have previously submitted erroneous subject codes, leading to correction requests after the data had already been submitted. Similarly, errors in students' and parents' names, as well as other personal information, have resulted in correction requests from schools.

Additionally, CBSE highlighted instances where schools either failed to submit the LOC for students or missed the prescribed deadline. These lapses have contributed to avoidable delays and operational challenges during examination preparations, affecting the Board's ability to maintain examination timelines and ensure a smooth examination process.

To avoid such complications, CBSE urged schools to complete all necessary preparations before the registration and LOC submission processes begin. Schools have been advised to have correct student details, subject-wise information, photographs, and signatures ready and to verify the information thoroughly before final submission. The Board stressed that careful checks at the school level would help minimize correction requests and ensure that the examination process and subsequent result declarations remain on schedule.
