BRICS is focused on trade investment and business cooperation: Putin

Russian President Vladimir Putin has emphasized that the BRICS organization is focused on unlocking the development potential of its member states through enhanced trade, investment, and business cooperation. At the opening of the 18th BRICS Summit in New Delhi, India, Putin stated that Russia remains open to collaborating with partners across the globe and is dedicated to strengthening economic ties via infrastructure, logistics, finance, and technological cooperation.

Putin highlighted the growing interest in strengthening business ties within the BRICS space during the BRICS Business Forum, currently taking place in India. He underscored the organization's role in promoting global energy and food security while generating new opportunities for businesses and investors. Putin remarked, "The country that initiated the sanctions pressure are facing the problem of industrial decline and budget deficit; they cannot follow suit.

They are facing some very difficult consequences and this is not just pure speculation, this is what we can judge based on their statistics. I’ve spoken about their budget deficit, about their growing public debt, as well as industrial decline."

In a recent video, Putin expressed that he arrived in India to further strengthen ties with BRICS member countries, signaling continued commitment to collaborative economic development.
