Alliance Air flight makes emergency landing at Delhi airport after engine failure

On Friday, an Alliance Air flight bound for Delhi was forced to make an emergency landing in the Indian capital after one of its engines failed, officials reported. Aircraft 9I 698, carrying about 40 passengers, touched down safely at Delhi airport around 2:15pm following the technical issue. The Pilot-in-Command requested a priority landing due to low oil pressure on the left-hand engine during the inbound approach to Delhi.

"The flight declared a full emergency due to one engine being inoperative. All necessary emergency response measures were activated," stated an airport official. This incident follows another recent event where an Alliance Air flight experienced a tyre burst while landing at Bilaspur's Kevat Airport. All 37 passengers and four crew members were safely evacuated from that aircraft.

Just a day prior, an Air India flight from Dammam to Delhi also made an emergency landing at Ahmedabad after a tissue paper bearing the word "bomb" was discovered in the lavatory, with all 32 passengers safely removed and security measures conducted.
