AfD: Siegmund sieht Rüstung als mögliche Hilfe für „Remigration“

Magdeburg - Saxon-Anhalt's AfD leader Ulrich Siegmund has linked the production of weapons to the planned deportation offensive, sparking harsh criticism. SPD fraction chair Katja Pähle described Siegmund's remarks as a new level of political rhetoric. "Using weapons as a political tool when mass residence registrations are announced is a form of violence," she said.

The BSW dismissed the AfD's cooperation, stating that the party advocates for over-arming and justifies the placement of the Israeli defense contractor Elbit with the use of weapons for "remigration." Co-Bundesvorsitzender Fabio De Masi wrote, "This shows they do not intend to govern and desperately seek an exit through provocation."

At the AfD's constituent session at the Magdeburg Landtag, Siegmund responded to a journalist's question about the planned placement of an Israeli defense company. He stated: "We do not generally condemn the production of weapons, as appropriate tools will be needed for the subsequent remigration and deportation offensive. Naturally, for internal security, our stability, and the state's defense."
