1VERSE turns claw-machine frustration into new track 'LOOP'

K-pop boyband 1VERSE has released a new track titled LOOP, which cleverly transforms the common feeling of missing a prize in a claw machine into an electrifying electronic pop anthem. This marks the group's first release since January. LOOP captures the frustration and determination that comes with the cycle of reaching for a prize, missing it, and deciding to try again. The song's lyrics and composition were crafted by group members Kenny, Nathan, and Aito.

Inspired by the repetitive nature of playing arcade games, LOOP uses electronic sounds and a tense, game-like progression to convey the addictive pull of repeated failure. Michelle Cho, CEO of Singing Beetle, explained that the song delves into how an insignificant expectation can become challenging to let go of, as each unsuccessful attempt creates a cycle that becomes harder to break.

Nathan expressed how the song reminds him of playing a claw machine in an arcade, where the desire to try again intensifies with every missed opportunity. Kenny also shared his personal connection to the song, acknowledging the difficulty he faces with claw machines.
