Zahid to meet Negeri Sembilan MB over statement on proclamation involving Tuanku Muhriz

Umno president Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi plans to meet Negeri Sembilan Menteri Besar Datuk Ismail Lasim during the party's general assembly to inquire about a statement Zahid made regarding a proclamation involving the state's ruler, Tuanku Muhriz Almarhum Tuanku Munawir. The meeting has not been specified in terms of time but is expected to occur during the assembly, which commenced yesterday.

Zahid confirmed Ismail's attendance at the general assembly, stating, "Yes, he will certainly meet me during this general assembly, and he will give an explanation. I will ask him about the background to his statement." When asked about the precise timing of the meeting, Zahid replied, "The general assembly has already begun. I can give him a time to meet at any time."

Ismail allegedly claimed he signed the proclamation under pressure. Following his revelation, he filed a police report regarding the incident. Zahid refuted reports suggesting Aminuddin's resignation as Menteri Besar due to the dispute, asserting that the state government remained cohesive.
