‘X-Men’ Movie Casts ‘Gen V’ Star Asa Germann as Angel

Asa Germann is nearing a final decision to portray Angel in Marvel Studios' upcoming "X-Men" movie, according to TheWrap. The film, set to introduce the mutant superhero team in the MCU, is directed by Jake Schreier, who previously helmed "Thunderbolts." Lee Sung Jin and Joanna Calo are working on a new script draft. Germann follows in the footsteps of actors Ben Foster and Ben Hardy, who played Angel in previous films released in 2006 and 2016, respectively.

If a contract is reached, Germann would join a cast including Samara Weaving as Emma Frost, Kit Connor as Cyclops, and Sadie Sink as Jean Grey, among others. Christopher Abbott, Inde Navarrette, Maya Boyd, and Adam Driver also star in the film, with Driver expressing excitement about joining the MCU for this project. Germann, who recently appeared in "Scream 7," is represented by CAA, Brillstein Entertainment Partners, and Jackoway Austen. Marvel Studios has not commented on the development.
