Ketua Wanita Umno, Noraini Ahmad, has outlined five principles for political cooperation, emphasizing that it should not undermine the party's identity, dignity, national stability, or the rights of marginalized communities. Speaking at the 2026 Umno General Assembly in Kuala Lumpur, Noraini stressed that while cooperation with any party is possible, it must preserve the party's distinct identity.

She cautioned that political cooperation does not mean losing one's voice in government, nor should it be an excuse to reject cooperation due to ideological differences. Noraini highlighted that Umno joins governments with the aim of national stability and public interest, but the party must continue to strengthen itself. She added that while Umno is significant during government formation, it must also remain essential during decisions affecting people's lives.

The Women's Umno leader acknowledged the importance of mutual respect but warned that excessive yielding could lead to the party being perceived as lacking conviction. She advised that while one can sit side by side, one should not allow the voice and presence of the party to diminish.
