Valencia boss Corberán hits out at ‘inappropriate’ Barcelona star

Valencia's head coach Carlos Corberán has expressed his dissatisfaction with Barcelona star Rodri, following the latter's controversial behavior during a match last weekend. The 30-year-old was substituted by Hansi Flick with Valencia trailing 5-0 to Barcelona, and was overheard insulting Valencia's players on the bench. In response, Rodri offered an apology, stating, "I want to apologise to the fans and players of Valencia.

I also called Valencia’s captain, Gayà." However, Corberán was far from convinced by this apology, deeming it inappropriate. During an interview, Corberán criticized Rodri's words, saying, "For me, they were completely inappropriate words, because I believe they are not words that stem from respect for colleagues in the profession."

Cornering that the incident occurred, Gayà, Valencia's captain, had a conversation with Rodri, leading to a public apology, which Corberán deemed acceptable.
